Sanjeev has over 15 years experience in the Electronics, Information Technology and semiconductor Industries. He has a strong embedded product engineering background in Industrial, Automotive and Healthcare domain where he designed and developed microcontroller and DSP based products.

He has also worked with a semiconductor distribution company as Head of Applications Department for India region offering technical solutions and support to R & D houses and OEMs for their product development activities.

Sanjeev holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Communications from University of Mysore and currently pursuing MBA degree.

Mr. Guruprasad has a decade experience and at Freescale he is responsible for Semiconductor Business Development and Account Management in Consumer electronics, Industrial and Automotive electronics. Previously worked at Sanyo Semiconductors and ST Microelectronics.

Prof. S. K. Sinha
Associate Professor - CEDT, IISc

Prof. Sinha did his BE in Electrical Engineering from Bihar College of Engineering, Patna  (now NIT, Bihar) in 1967 and joined the Indian Railways. However, his heart was in academics and he came to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 1977 where he did ME in Electrical Engineering and then was offered a research position leading to PhD. His research was in the area of Chopper Drive for Traction systems. The variants of his research output have been employed in many Railway Traction Systems around the world.

On completion of his doctoral program, Prof. Sinha was offered a faculty position in the Department of Electrical engineering at IISc where he worked till 1995. He set up a new Parallel Computing Lab in the EE department and most of his research efforts were directed towards applying the parallel and distributed computing techniques for industrial drive applications. During the decade he worked in this area he guided nearly a dozen doctoral level research efforts and published/presented over 30 research papers in International journals and conferences.

He then moved over to the Centre for Electronics Design and Technology (CEDT) at IISc where he set up an Embedded Systems Laboratory. The Lab has now matured into a leading training and development centre in the area of embedded computing.

He has held various administrative positions at IISc, the most significant being his 4-year stint as the Associate Chairman and then another 4 years as the Chairman of the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Consultancy, which is the primary window of IISc to the outside world.  During these eight years he had the opportunity to interact with a very large number of Indian and Multinational companies of all sizes, from the tiniest to the real giants of the world. He considers these years very significant and educative, and fruitful too as he was able to enhance the consultancy earnings of IISc many folds during his chairmanship.

His current research interests are in the broad area of embedded systems. However, he loves to teach Power Electronics even today!

He spends his spare time studying, practicing and teaching the spiritual aspects of Yoga. He is a certified Yoga Teacher from the prestigious Bihar School of Yoga and gets his spiritual guidance from the teachings of param gurus like Swami Sivanada, Swami Yoganada, Swami Satyananda and His Holiness, Sri Sri Ravishankar.

He also practices and teaches Homeopathy as a hobby.

Mr. Sachin Mulay

As the Engineering head of Mindteck's Wireless Practice, Venki Venkataraman is responsible for leading and managing business and technology initiatives in the wireless segment. He has established competency center in Wireless sensor network (WSN) protocol and Smart Energy Practice at Mindteck.

Venki has over eighteen years of professional work experience, at firms located in U.S. and India, encompassing product, engineering and R & D organizations. He has a bachelor degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Calicut, India and a post graduate course in Nuclear Engineering from BARC, India. and Diploma in Management from University of California, Irvine, CA, USA.

Mr. Chetan Kumar

Technical Manager - Alcatel-Lucent India

Chetan Kumar Shivakumar (Chetan) is Technical Manager in Enterprise Business Group of Alcatel-Lucent India. He is working in R&D for OmniAccess,service gateway for small and medium enterprise, at Bangalore.

Chetan Obtained bachelor's degree in engineering with specialization in electronics and communication from University of Mysore in the year 1996. After graduation worked as research staff at Indian Institute of Science for one year, working in the area of multimedia communication over wireless networks. After this took up his Master degree at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) working on MAC protocol for real time multimedia service over Wireless LAN.

After graduation, he took up job as software engineer at Wipro Technologies and worked for around four years as consultant to various clients in areas like QoS in IP networks, Traffic engineering in IP/MPLS networks, Call admission controller for real time data over IP networks, system level diagnostics for IP routers etc. Later he moved into a role of architect for designing portable IP routing stacks and worked for three years before moving to a start up Net Devices (in 2005), which was later acquired by Alcatel-Lucent. At Net Devices he worked as lead, designing and defining architecture for QoS solution for Multi-Service Access gateway product.

He has  (co-)authored 7 papers published in various international conferences and proceedings, proposed  internet draft to standards body and one patent in his name.

Mr. Viswanathan Narayanan

Dr. S Jagannathan is working in Tata Elxsi as head of Technology Innovations, Patents and Publications in Bangalore. He has rich experience in R and D in embedded systems and embedded software products development. His areas of expertise are in broadband wireless (WiMax), IPv6, short range wireless, video and audio coding, storages, security solutions etc. He has good number of International patents and publications in the above areas. He also worked in Infineon Technologies, General Electric and ISRO prior to Tata Elxsi. He also works for his research pursuits with Indian Institute of Technology and other institutes in India and abroad.

He has PhD in Computer Science and Engineering (SJCE, Mysore), Post Graduation in Software Systems (BITS, Pilani) and Mathematics (Bangalore University), Proficiency Courses from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Rajesh has been with Xilinx since June 2007 as a Senior Field Applications Engineer. He is responsible for all levels of technical engagements with Xilinx strategic customers in India to help them architect their products by effectively using Xilinx solutions. He also mentors a team of Field application engineers working for Xilinx representative and distributors, helping them excel in their customer engagements and design wins.

Prior to Xilinx, Rajesh has worked in various capacities of the engineering function for more than 5 years with Elina Networks and Tejas Networks. At Tejas Networks, he was involved in architecting telecom systems and developing various telecom IPs to be implemented on programmable technologies like FPGAs – making them configurable and scalable.

Rajesh graduated with a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the IIT Madras, in 2002.

Currently working as a Lead Architect in Wipro’s Telecom BU. He has handled all phases of the Product development starting from System Engineering, Development and testing for the Top Wireless Infrastructure, Protocol Stack and Semiconductor Product Vendors close to 13years

As the lead for CISCO Corporate Development and venture investment group at the Globalization Centre, Bose is responsible for CISCO’s minority investment in technology startups, eco-system players and disruptive business models to fuel CISCO’s growth in India and emerging markets.
Bose also supports CISCO’s  Investment backed  next generation partnerships to enable  CISCO Services led solutions Delivery worldwide and create inflection points in the market.

Bose joined CISCO in May 2007 after spending 22 years in the industry in India, Singapore and United States.

More recently Bose was the Managing Director at Intel looking after Intel Capital and a technology for “Bottom of the Pyramid” initiative called “World Ahead”.  Bose was the initiator of an Education initiative at Intel world Wide  called the classmate PC (www.classmatepc.com) based on thin client and network computing architecture. Bose also led Intel Capital Communication Fund in APAC and has many successful investments and exists in his credit such as Tejas Network, Pronto Networks, FutureSoft, Indtelesoft, MobiAps, Deccanet etc.

Bose was  the Managing Director for AT&T Managed Network Solutions for South and South East Asia based out of Singapore. He led AT&T’s only P&L business in India and Singapore and was responsible for AT&T IPLC , Worldsource and managed router business through a set of Global Network Management Centres ( GNMC)

While in Singapore Bose was an advisor to several technical committees to broadband and video on demand – Singapore Cable vision Asia’s first CMTS based Hybrid fiber Coax 860 MHz network and Singapore-ONE a citizen centric broadband services network – most noteworthy amongst  them.

Bose was also an active member of Government of India’s Broadband Committee and Wireless Planning commission’s WiMAX Technology and spectrum committee. Bose has an engineering graduate degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University, Calcutta (1985) and a Executive Management Program while at AT&T ( 1998) , as part of its Leadership Development Program.
